Until recently I was an alien to the OTG technology that is On The Go USB connectivity. With the recent purchase of a new Tablet received an OTG cable so did some testing, started with Micromax P666 Tablet , Samsung Galaxy S3 and Redmi 1S.

USB OTG – Pen drive
Having additional storage is always good, however this option is not travel friendly as micro SD card. Once you connect USB OTG cable to Pen drive you would have add-on storage. Form here you can browse through the content, copy past files and even play media files. 32 GB pen drive worked perfectly whereas when I connected 1 TB WD external hard disk nothing happened.
USB OTG – Wireless Keyboard Mouse
To my surprise all the three test devices Micromax P666 Tablet , Samsung Galaxy S3 and Redmi 1S worked perfectly with wireless keyboard and mouse. With mouse I was able to select, double click and scroll. Keyboard’s multimedia keys (play,previous, next, volume, home , calculator and email) worked like a charm.
